Lash Lift

A lash lift involves the perming and curling of your natural lash from base to tip. It will make your own lashes look longer and fuller in a very natural way. A lash lift is pretty low maintenance and fairly quick. The appointment takes about 1 hour and your results can last up to six weeks, making them a popular choice for those of us who are time-poor!

Lash Extensions

Lash extensions involve the individual bonding of false lashes onto your natural lash to add length and volume. There’s a variety of lengths and volume that you can choose from:

A classic sets of extensions is where one false lash is glued to your natural lash. This is why it is sometimes called the 1:1 method. The result is more full look compared to your bare lashes, but still quite natural. It’s a great option if you already have lots of lashes but want some extra enhancement.

A volume set of extensions involves multiple false lashes being glued to each natural lash. The overall outcome is a much more dramatic and bold look. Again, there is a variety of volume you can achieve. 2D is where two false lashes are applied to one natural lash, whereas 3D is where there are three false lashes applied to the one natural lash.

To add to this, there’s also different lash thickness, curl type and composition that you can pick from (e.g. synthetic or mink).

The first set of lash extensions is generally the longest treatment (around 1.5- 2 hours), as well as the most expensive. Lash extensions generally need to be re-filled every 2-3 weeks (depending on your aftercare and natural lash cycle), and subsequent visits will be shorter (around 60-75 min) and less expensive as your lash tech will not need to apply a set from scratch.

Summary

As you can see, there are many ways to transform you look whether you pick a lash lift or lash extensions.
